UDHAMPUR, Nov 5: Continuing its drive against drug- peddlers, Udhampur police today nabbed a youth and recovered some heroin from his possession.
Official sources said that Police patrolling team from Police Station Udhampur, during patrolling at Sangoor in Udhampur, caught one suspect who tried to avoid checking and escape. The police warned and apprehended him.
During his search, 05 gram of heroine (Chitta) was recovered from his possession. He was identified as Akhter Hussain, son of Mohd Ayoob, resident of Sial Saillan in Udhampur.
The police registered a case FIR No. 576/2020 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act at P/S Udhampur against the accused and started investigation.
