JAMMU, Mar 13: Muslim Rashtriya Manch (MRM) National convenor Mohd Afzal, today, accused the so-called secular political parties who have ruled the country for maximum periods after independence of using Muslims for mere vote bank and pushed them for alienation from the mainstream.
Addressing a press conference here, today he said these so called secular parties  ignored the Muslims and only exploited them for vote bank politics.
These parties raise false slogan of reservations, some time with in the caste, cultures and region, some time divides them with majority- minority slogans, and sometimes within the sects, he alleged.
He said that Muslim Rashtriya Manch which is totally a social organization has constituted its units in 26 states and reached more than three hundred districts of the country.
He said that MRM always highlighted the social issues of the community and has no association with any political party working across the country.
Mohd  Afzal alleged that these so called secular political parties had made Muslim of India as an alpsankhayak (minority) and failed to make them assets for the country and accused them for dumping the sacrifices and histories of lakhs of Muslims during freedom struggle of the country.
He said now MRM has decided to support Narendra Modi, the only declared Prime Ministerial candidate by any political party. MRM support Modi  because he has proved to be a man of development, a man of social fabric, a man who talks of  prosper and peaceful India, who want equitable welfare, upliftment and development of all the 1.20 crore Indians. On the other hand, others Parties are busy in once again playing dirty politics of coming out with false promises and making attempts to create wedge between different communities for vote bank politics, which is highly condemnable and need to be opposed tooth and nail by  every nation loving citizen.
Muslim Rashtriya Manch National Co-Convener Er. Ghulam Ali Khatana who was also present in the press conference accused the so called secular political parties for their failure to safeguard the interests of Muslims living in India and abroad. Sachar Committee report is an eye opener for them, he added.
