JAMMU, July 20: Municipal and Urban Local Bodies Pensioners’ Association (MULBPA), Jammu has demanded early disbursement of benefits of 7th Pay Commission to Municipal and Urban Local Bodies pensioners.
Raising the issue during a meeting of MULBPA convened under the chairmanship of KG Khajuria (senior vice-president), speakers expressed grave concern over not issuing concurrence letter with regard to disbursement of 7th PC benefits to Municipal and Urban Local Bodies pensioners by Housing and Urban Development Department (HUDD) as desired by Incharge Government Business Department, J&K Bank, Corporate Head Quarters Srinagar.
The leaders of the Association strongly criticized HUDD while addressing the meeting and requested Governor NN Vohra to enquire from the Financial Commissioner, HUDD, the reasons which restricted him to issue a concurrence letter till date whereas the Association has requested him a number of times but got no response.
They said pensioners of Municipal and Urban Local Bodies are suffering a lot since 3 months to get 7th Pay Commission benefits at par with State Government pensioners since April 2018 under Order No 222-F of 2018 dated 28-04-2018.
Prominent among others who attended the meeting were RK Gupta, BD Verma, BS Jamwal, Jawahar Lal, Shiv Kumar, Tarsem Lal, ML Gupta and Gurdev Singh.
