Mula Ram visits flood hit areas in Raipur-Damana

JAMMU, July 24: Mula Ram, former Minister and Vice President J&K Pradesh Congress Committee rushed to Village Kangrail and Khabahdanga of Raipur-Damana Constituency today, where people have suffered heavy loss of cattle and house hold property due to water-logged problem. He immediately reported the matter to the district administration and the DC Jammu also reached there and took stock of the problems, aroused due to water-logging.
He said that water entered into the houses, and damaged, the plinth, boundary walls etc of the houses. Many cattle were killed and household material submerged in to the water. The power supply has been disrupted and the road-connectivity system has collapsed. This all has caused due to poor drainage system in the area. Mr. Ram demanded immediate ex-gratia relief to the affected people and the compensation for the loss they suffered, besides restoration of essential services in the area.
PCC leader also toured other areas and met the party workers who expressed concern over power failure in the area.
