SAMBA, May 18: Close on the heels of sensational kidnapping of an Army School boy of Kaluchak on May 6, a MSc student of Central University Jammu was abducted in a dramatic manner by a youth at Raya Suchani in Samba district yesterday when she was on way to her relatives house.
As per reports Ruby Kattal, daughter of late Kuldeep Singh of Lachipora, Kathua, who was a student of a Central University Raya Suchani, was abducted by a youth when she was on way to her relative’s house in the area where she was putting up at present.
As per the statement of the girl Rajan Khadyal, son of Dhurb Singh of Marheeh Kathua who is a Jawan of 6th JaK Li came in his Bolero and stopped her in the way. He first thrashed her, then huddled her into the Bolero and forcibly took her to Kathua side. The girl said that he assaulted, molested and also inflicted injuries on her person besides forcibly writing his name on her arm.
She said as she bled profusely, he took her to a medical shop for treatment in the way but the chemist refused to treat her saying that it is a police case. The abductor then took her to Samba and threw her down from the vehicle.
The girl said at Samba she boarded a bus to Bari Brahmana and went to her relative’s house. Later, her family was also informed who took her to the district Hospital Kathua for treatment.
As per the statement of the girl the abductor had been following her for a long time and was harassing her. The girl had complained to his parents also but they too failed to control their son. She said the father of youth had said that he will not be responsible if his son harasses her in future too.
She said the youth had threatened her that in case she files a case against him with police, his father will get him released. He had told the girl that earlier he was too arrested by the police a number of times but his father got him released. He warned her that in case she files a complaint with police he will torture her family members including her brother, sisters and mother.
Vijaypur Police has registered a case FIR No 77 U/S 323/341/366/376/511/427 RPC against the abductor.
When contacted, SHO Vijaypur, Rakesh Bamba said that police has registered a case but the abductor had fled and police has launched a manhunt to arrest him. He said police is investigating the matter and soon the abductor will be arrested.
