Modi strengthened grassroots level democracy in J&K: Sham Sharma

JAMMU, Sept 25: J&K BJP Vice President and Prabhari Jammu Rural Sham Lal Sharma today said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has strengthened the grassroots democracy in J&K by strengthening the Panchayati Raj Institutions.
“The Central Government headed by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi has strengthened the grassroots level democracy and the three tier system of PRIs has been established across J&K,” he said while addressing public meeting of BJP at Marh Block, organized by Advocate Abhinav Sharma, BJP leader and Spokesperson of the party.
Sham Lal Sharma asserted that under the stewardship of PM Narendra Modi, the work culture has been changed and the dynamics of development have improved which is testimony of the fact that Jammu and Kashmir is on the path of development. He said that Modi Government has ensured peace and prosperity in J&K and the march is still on to steer the state to new heights of economic growth and uplifting the downtrodden to a life which is full of dignity and pride.
Besides Abhinav Sharma, BJP District Office bearers were also present in the meeting, which was organized to spread awareness on the unprecedented steps which the PM Modi led BJP Government has taken after taking the charge of the country. During the meeting, glorious tributes were also paid to Pt Deen Dayal Upadhayay on his birth anniversary.
Adv Abhinav Sharma cited the multidimensional and multipronged development initiatives of Modi Government like AIIMS, IIT, IIM, four laning of highways, Express Corridor, green signal to Shahpur Kandi project, etc, which changed the development profile of the region.
“Over 70 crore people have been inoculated in India, free ration to several crores have been provided by the Modi Government for the last many months as support to COVID-19 hit besides pension to aged persons and other needy sections of the society,” he said and added that a hike in fuel prices is required to carry out aforesaid philanthropic works as the onus of helping the poor countrymen is on the Government.
Speaking on the occasion, District President Rajinder Singh Chib said that the development carried out by BJP Government, especially in J&K, is unmatched. Earlier, the people of J&K had to wait for implementation of Central schemes but after abrogation of Article 370, the Modi Government has ensured that Central schemes are simultaneously implemented here, which is a great achievement, he added.
