Self-styled Messiahs of Jammu hiding their non-performance: Slathia

VIJAYPUR, Sept 25: Highlighting the need for respecting the urges and aspirations of the people, National Conference (NC) state secretary and former minister, Surjeet Singh Slathia today called for proactive and focused attention towards far-off and border areas.
“Youth are feeling sense of despondency and the residents are craving for regulated utility services,” Slathia claimed while interacting with the people during a tour of Kamala, Swankha Morh, Garwal, Rarian, Rada, Gho Brahmana, Gho Rakwala, Swankha, Kalah, and other villages of Block Ramgarh in Vijaypur.
He said, over the last few years most of the areas have been deprived of basic development and thus ignored on all fronts.
The NC leader said that the self-styled Messiahs of Jammu region are hiding their non-performance and failures in by raking emotive issues which have nothing to do with development and other issues facing the people.
Urging the cadre to remain steadfast in serving people and cementing the bonds of amity and tranquility, Slathia said that NC has always worked to uphold the secular fabric of J&K and fight all the forces which have tried to create a wedge between region, countries and people on the basis of religion, caste, language or ethnicity.
