MENDHAR, June 9: MLA Mendhar Javed Rana today announced funds under CDF for the sanitation of the town and purchase of tractor trolley and an auto-rikshaw for lifting garbage in the town.
The MLA along with Tehsil officers visited Bus Stand, Mendhar on the demand of local public and local transport union and provided this help.
During visit he asked the Tehsildar to demarcate the area of Bus Stand and remove the encroachments. He also asked the local shopkeeper and inhabitants to cooperate with the administration regarding the removal of encroachment, which is a serious problem for the public and vehicle operators as there is no alternate space for Bus Stand.
The MLA also directed to Block Development Officer Mendhar for improving drainage system, leveling the ground for buses, Tata Sumo stand and removal of encroachment, reviving the dead space for public use by dismantling the abundant and old unused structure on the bus stand, which has no utility except covering the space and creating a congestion on the Bus Stand.
He also directed the nodal officer BDO Mendhar to depute one Inspector Panchayat for the supervision of sanitation programme and removal of debris and garbage in the town.
MLA asked BDO for registration of shops and Rehariwallas and asked the local Panchayats for collection of Tax from the shopkeepers. He appealed to local shopkeepers and Rehariwallas to ensure the regular payment of Tax and sanitation drive in Mendhar town as well as Bus Stand. Rana also directed the BDO to construct a `Phatak’ and also enhance the honorarium of Safaikara-mcharies @ Rs 4500/pm instead of Rs 3500/pm
