KISHTWAR, Dec 2: Police here today recovered a minor kidnapped girl within days of her kidnapping and arrested the accused involved in the crime.
As per police on November 23, 2022, Police Station Atholi received a complaint from a man that his daughter was kidnapped by one Najam Din son of Gogra Bakerwal of Kathua.
Accordingly a case in FIR No. 44/2022 under relevant sections of law was registered at Police Station Atholi and investigations started.
A special team was constituted which was headed by SHO Police Station Atholi Inspector Vikram Parihar under the supervision of SDPO Atholi, Vikram Singh. Acting swiftly the team was able to recover the kidnapped girl within a week and arrest the accused person from Jamli area of Kathua.
After fulfilling all medico-legal formalities, the girl was handed over to her legal heirs.
