JAMMU, Jan 10: As part of Army Day celebrations, a medical camp was organized today at 166 Military Hospital for veterans and dependants.
The camp was organized under the aegis of Headquarters Northern Command to screen all veterans of Army, Air Force and Navy and their dependents for lifestyle diseases and geriatric problems like Diabetes, Hypertension, Ischemic Heart Disease (IHD), Osteoarthritis (OA), cataract, etc.
The medical camp was inaugurated by Major General Sanjeev Narain, General Officer Commanding, Tiger Division. The camp covered veterans from Satwari, Miran Sahib, RS Pura, BD Bari, Kaluchak, Ratnuchak, Sanjuwan, Domana, Akhnoor and Nagrota.
Along with medical camp, the CSD facilities, health exhibition on prevention of lifestyle diseases and pension anomalies resolution help desks were organized for veterans. 253 veterans and dependents were screened and extended specialist management.
The camp concluded with closing address by Brigadier T Chatterjee, Commandant of the hospital.
