JAMMU, Feb 2: A deputation of All J&K Mechanical Engineers Association called on Minister for PHE, Irrigation and Flood Control Sham Lal Sharma and apprised him of the problems being faced by them.
President of the Association, Er R K Kohli, highlighted the issues and demands such as creation of two posts of Chief Engineers (Mechanical) Hydraulic in Jammu Kashmir, cadre management control of mechanical engineers, fixing of responsibilities of Mechanical/ Civil engineers for smooth functioning of water supply and shifting of mechanical PHE Sub-Division Kishtwar to PHE Mechanical Sub Division Kathua.
The minister assured to consider all the demands in due course of time.
Prominent among those in the deputation, included Er N N Thussu, Er T R Sharma, Er Ajay Khajuria, Er A S Choudhary, Er Anoop Verma, Er Kuldip Sharma, Er Dalip Wali, Er R K Bhatti and Er Pankaj Sharma.
