JAMMU, Jan 10: Continuing the drive to provide better development as well as basic facilities to the people of Jammu, Mayor, Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC), Chander Mohan Gupta, today conducted an extensive tour of Trikuta Nagar area of Ward No.53 along with Jyoti Devi, councillor of the Ward.
He also kick started the overall development work of park situated at Sector No.1 Trikuta Nagar, here to be constructed at an estimate cost of Rs five lakh and the work will be executed by Engineering Wing of JMC.
Arun Gupta, Executive Engineer, Sanjay Raina, Junior Engineer, Charanjeet, Sanitary Supervisor and other field staff of other sections of JMC as well as Prerna Nanda State media secretary BJP, K.D Sharma, Inder Sharma, Sahil Gupta, Parveen Gupta, Ramesh Chander, Sham Lal, Manju Chawla, Mrs Laxmi, Rajinder Sharma, Gopal Krishan, Madhu Gupta and other prominent citizens of W.No.53 were also present during the tour and put forth various other demands i.e. construction and renovation of left over lanes and drains besides blacktopping of roads, installation and rectification of street and High mask lights in the Trikuta Nagar area.
Mayor assured the gathering that all their issues be resolved on war footing as Municipal Corporation has expedited the overall development activities in all wards of the city. He also appealed to them to co-operate with JMC in development activities and do not throw garbage, mulba etc. in the public drains and lanes and avoid using polythenes and single used plastics in their routine life which creates unhygienic condition & pollutes their surroundings also.
Later Mayor also visited W.No.49 in the areas of Narwal, Channi Rama along with Kamal Singh Jamwal Councillor of the Ward, Sardar Nirmal Singh and other inhabitants of the area took stock of various development as well other sanitation work in the Ward and directed the field staff of JMC to perform their duty up to the satisfaction of inhabitants.
