Manyal holds grievances redressal camp

SAMBA, Dec 18: To listen to the demands and issues of the people of Purmandal, Member Legislative Assembly, Samba Dr Devinder Manyal today held a grievance redressal camp at Purmandal.
Assistant Commissioner Development Samba Tilak Raj , Block Development Officer Purmandal Kawaljit Singh Bali,Executive Engineers of PWD, PHE, PDD, PMGSY besides Sarpanhs, Panchs, district and sub-divisional officers and locals in large numbers attended the darbar.
Residents were encouraged to ventilate their grievances along with their suggestions on public issues. Problems pertaining to water and power supply, availability of ration and cooking gas besides functioning of schools, anganwari centres and other developmental issues were vociferously raised and discussed.
While speaking on the occasion, Dr Devinder Manyal assured them that their complaints and grievances would be redressed. He urged the officers to empathize with the people in remote areas of the district and solve their problems on priority and gave on spot instructions to all officers in this regard.
“We have to come up to the expectations of people by ensuring responsive administration. Delivery of quality public service is imperative for the uplift of the poor and downtrodden”, said the MLA. He also appealed the PRI members to meet their responsibilities diligently saying that their role is vital in raising and addressing local issues.
The locals especially the Sarpanchs and Panchs hailed the initiative of holding public darbar by the MLA to listen to the people’s problems. Keeping in view the topography of the hilly district, the district administration has been holding such grievance redressal camps with a view to solve the problems of the rural people at their doorsteps.
