KATHUA, July 3: The dead body of an elderly villager was recovered from Bhini canal in Billawar area this afternoon.
The deceased has been identified as 62-year-old Bhuttu Ram, son of Masu Ram, hailing from village Marhei in Billawar tehsil. The body was seen by some locals in the canal who informed police. The police fished it out and then sent to hospital for postmortem. Later, it was handed over to the family for last rites. A case has been registered in this connection.
