KATHUA, May 21: Senior Congress leader Dr Manohar Lal Sharma held a meeting with the youth at Lakhri in Billawar sub division to listen and address the much hyped problems of youth who were getting frustrated and depressed due to the slackness, non competitive attitude, corruption and anti youth policies of the BJP-PDP Government.
Dr Sharma said there was large scale discrimination in employment of Jammu youth particularly in Public Service Commission as well as other State recruitment agencies. He said the BJP was totally silent and mute spectator over the discrimination even after so much hue and cry by different political and social organizations with active participation of youth too.
Dr Sharma further said that why all the 25 MLAs and Ministers of BJP are silent over this serious issue as a high level discrimination has been done with the youth of Jammu while the BJP which had assured the people to safeguard their interest, but after attaining the power in the J&K State, was behaving diffewrently.
He advised the youth to opt for the private sector to establish their own units or trading corporations/self help groups and in this regard Dr Sharma committed to the youth that each and every step will be taken to get their objective accomplished. Dr Sharma said he knew that there was a nexus among bureaucrats and politicians which has led to the corrupt practices in every step due to which the private sector is very difficult to grow but with the active participation and support of youth Dr Sharma hoped to get it cracked and exposed.
Dr Sharma in a separate function recalled the sweet memories of former Prime Minister late Rajiv Gandhi and paid homage to the noble soul.
