Manjit asks Congress workers to prepare for polls

VIJAYPUR, Jan 1: Former Minister and District Congress President for Samba, Manjit Singh today asked Congress workers to get ready for coming assembly and parliamentary elections.
Addressing the monthly meeting of Congress workers in Vijaypur, Manjit Singh asked the workers to start ground work in Samba district.
“People across the country want a change and they have openly come in support of Congress. Similarly, in J&K people know that it is only Congress party which can keep the State united,” he added.
Referring to the local issues, he said, government should not compel displaced persons to come on roads. “Fulfil the rights of the displaced persons of 1947, 1965 and 1971 as these people are not given right on the property, they are holding, after they were evicted from their homeland,” he added.
“Youth, farmers and business community under Modi government are facing suffocating due to their wrong policies,” he said.
