Manhas’ term ends today

Outgoing BJP chief Shamsher Singh Manhas at a party meeting at Jammu on Friday.

JAMMU, Dec 21: On completion of his three years tenure as State president of  BJP, Shamsher Singh Manhas convened a meeting of the State office bearers, senior leaders, district and Morcha Presidents at party headquarters on Friday.
Shamsher Singh Manhas, while expressing his gratitude for cooperation extended to him by the party activists in making the party’s programmes successfully, said that in his three years tenure 1327 programmes, including protests, dharnas, Jan Jagran Yatras at State, District and Mandal levels were held in all three regions of the State.
National Executive Member Dr. Nirmal Singh said that BJP is a party, which works on democratic principle and has a healthy tradition of teamwork. It does not matter who is in chair, but what matters is the commitment towards the responsibility showered upon him or her.
National Executive Member & MLA Ashok Khajuria said that Manhas proved to a good manager and organizer, who proved his capacity by organizing a record number of programmes throughout the State.
Another National Executive Member & MLA Jugal Kishore Sharma said that during the tenure of Shamsher Singh Manhas the party cadre throughout the state got strength. State General Secretary (Org.) Ashok Koul said that the successful tenure of Shamsher Singh Manhas will obviously take the party to new heights. He also briefed the meeting of the party’s organization election completed at mandal and district levels.
Earlier, Shamsher Singh Manhas and other leaders felicitated the newly elected District Presidents.
