According to officials, the case was registered under FIR Number 01/2026 under sections of the Prevention of Corruption Act at Police Station ACB Doda following a verification conducted by the ACB Doda-Kishtwar-Ramban wing.
The verification revealed that the accused officer allegedly amassed huge movable and immovable assets in his own name and in the names of his family members. These reportedly include a five-storey residential house on Court Road Doda, land at Udrana Bhaderwah and Sunjawan Jammu, substantial bank deposits and fixed deposits, besides costly electronic gadgets and jewellery.
The ACB stated that the assets were found disproportionate to the income earned by the officer from all known sources during his service period, indicating alleged illicit enrichment.
