Manhas, Kavinder call on CS

JAMMU, Apr 21: Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha, Shamsher Singh Manhas and Ex Deputy CM, Kavinder Gupta today called on Chief Secretary, BVR Subrahmanyam at the Civil Secretariat here, today to discuss important issues emerged due to COVID-19 and lockdown thereafter.
Shamsher Singh Manhas said that there are more than forty thousand people of the Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory stuck at different locations in the country who are facing several hardships over there and demanded that immediate steps be taken so as they could reach out to their homes or the concerned states be apprised about the people of J&K Union Territory for making proper arrangements for them on priority basis.
He said the students studying in different colleges across the country and especially in Rajasthan are in great distress who need to be approached by the UT Government to redress their genuine issues at the earliest.
Kavinder Gupta projected the issues of non-functional OPD’s at different hospitals, whereas general patients are facing tough time due to non-availability of doctors, adding to this distribution of ration to the locals of Union Territory should be made more transparent and on war footing basis as several people have been complaining for the non-availability ration to the deserving poor and needy people.
On the issues Chief Secretary, BVR Subrahmanyam assured that the issues will be thoroughly reviewed on Government level and an appropriate and immediate action will be taken in this regard for the redressal of the problems raised by the MP Manhas and Kavinder Gupta.
