SAMBA, Apr 11: One persons was seriously injured after he was fired upon by another person at village Tamore this evening.
He has been identified as Chaman Lal, S/o Kaka Ram of Khanak under the jurisdiction of Hiranagar Police Station.
Police said Chaman Lal along with his wife and another relative had visited the house of Shokat Ali Chowdhary a Unani `Hakeem’ (doctor) for his treatment at 3pm today. The `Hakeem’ was not at his residence and they waited for him for some time. After the `Hakeem’ turned up there was an altercation between Chaman Lal and Hakeem Shokat Ali. The son of Shokat Chowdhary, Ali Raja fired upon Chaman Lal from his revolver. He received four injuries three in thigh and one in his shoulder. He fell in a pool of blood. He was shifted to GMC Jammu for treatment where he is battling for his life.
The Vijaypur Police has registered a case in this regard and started investigation. However the culprit is still at large.
