JAMMU, Dec 16: A man allegedly committed suicide by consuming some poisonous substance at his residence in Miran Sahib area of city outskirts.
According to a police spokesperson, a man identified as Sahib Singh (25) son of Dilip Singh, a resident of Nadi falling under the limits of police station Miran Sahib, tried to end his life by consuming some poisonous substance at his residence, yesterday following which he was shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where he succumbed to his injuries today.
After completing all medico-legal formalities, the body of the deceased was handed over to his legal heirs for last rites. The concerned police have already taken cognizance of the matter.
