JAMMU, Apr 30: A man allegedly consumed some poisonous substance today and later died in the hospital.
According to a police official, a man identified as Parshotam Lal (50) son of Khem Raj, resident of Ward No 2, Simbal Camp, was shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital today at about 1:30 PM after he allegedly consumed some poisonous substance at his residence.
“However, the man passed away at about 4:30 PM,” the official said, adding the body of the deceased was sent for postmortem while inquest proceeding under Section 174 CrPC was initiated in this connection at police station Miran Sahib.
