JAMMU, June 2: Police in Jammu’s Bakshi Nagar area have invoked Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act against a 39-year-old man for allegedly committing rape with a minor girl.
A police spokesperson said that Anchal Kumar (39) of Bilawar was booked on the complaint of the family members of the victim in case FIR number 75/2023 registered under Sections 376 IPC and 3/4 of the POCSO Act at Police Station Bakshi Nagar for allegedly committing the crime with the minor girl.
“Further investigations are underway,” said the police spokesperson.
