JAMMU, Apr 24: A man was attacked with a sharp edged weapon at Naiwala in Akhnoor area late last night.
According to a police spokesman, a man identified as Thoru Ram son of Mukhtyar Chand, resident of Naiwala, who works as a salesman in a wine shop located at Kelewala (Sohal), was returning to his home from the shop late last night when on reaching Naiwala, three unknown persons with common and criminal intention attacked with sharp edged weapon and inflicted injuries upon him.
“He was shifted to Sub District Hospital for treatment, the spokesman said, adding, on the complaint of the wine shop owner namely, Jatinder Sangotra son of Kesar Mal, resident of Ward No 9 (Akhnoor), a case FIR No 74/2017 under Section 307/323/341/34 RPC and 4/25 A Act was registered at police station Akhnoor and further investigations started.
“No arrest could be made till now”, he further added.
