JAMMU, Feb 26: Border Police Post (BPP) Gajansoo arrested a man along with large quantity of illicit liquor.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from BPP Gajansoo led by ASI Sanjeet Singh laid a naka near Karloop Chowk and intercepted a person, who was moving under suspicious circumstances.
During checking, police team recovered 60 quarters of illicit liquor from the possession of the pedestrian and arrested him.
The arrested person has been identified as Kamal Dass, son of Gardhari Lal, a resident of Karloop.
A case under FIR Number 35/2020 under Section 48 (a) Excise Act has been registered at Kanachak Police Station and investigation started.
The arrest was made under the supervision of SHO Kanachak Inspector Ravi Parihar, SDPO Doman Kosheen Koul and SP Rural Suram Singh.
