JAMMU, May 5: Bishnah police arrested a man and recovered large quantity of illicit liquor pouches from his possession.
As per police sources, during routine checking at Deoli, a team from Bishnah Police Station intercepted a person, who was hiding himself from the cops.
During checking, police recovered 80 pouches of illicit liquor from the possession of the person and arrested him.
The arrested person has been identified as Kasturi Lal, son of Ralu Ram, a resident of Deoli, Tehsil Bishnah.
A case under FIR Number 96/18 under Section 48-A Excise Act has been registered at Police Station Bishnah and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Bishnah Inspector Rajesh Sharma made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Sourabh Prashar, SP Headquarters Jammu RC Kotwal and SSP Jammu Vivek Gupta.
