KISHTWAR, Sept 3: Police arrested a man for duping gullible people on the pretext of providing them jobs in Government department and private companies.
According to Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Kishtwar Rajinder Gupta, several complaints were received from Marwah, Chatroo and many other areas stating that a person namely Nasir Ahmed Malla, son of Ghulam Rasool Malla, a resident of District Budgam has taken documents and cash from them on the pretext of providing them jobs in Government departments and private companies.
Acting over the complaint, a case under Sections 420 and 109 RPC was registered at Kishtwar Police Station and hunt was launched to arrest the fraudster.
“On reliable information, a team from Kishtwar Police Station conducted raid and arrested the fraudster. From his possession, police recovered documents of around dozen persons to whom he had assured job in lieu of cash”, SSP stated.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
“Earlier, the accused was kidnapped and assaulted by Ravi Tickoo of Jagti Township Jammu and Ankush Talwar of Krishna Nagar Jammu, both leaders of Lok Janshakti Party. A separate case against Ravi Tickoo and Ankush Talwar also stands registered with Kishtwar Police Station”, SSP Rajinder Gupta informed.
