This in reference to the wild life week observed in the State from Oct 2-Oct 8. The one thing that needs the attention of the Government and the forest department is the rising incidents of man-animal conflict in the State. The situation is the same in both divisions of the State Jammu and Kashmir valley.
Many people, as well as wildlife have fallen prey to each other’s fury when they came in contact with each other. There is an urgent desire to devise a strategy to check these incidents. Otherwise there is no fun in observing these yearly rituals for the sake of observing them. This is a burning issue which may lead to various consequences both for human beings as well as wildlife.
