Make Backward Classes Commission report public: AIBCU

JAMMU, Apr 21: All India Backward Classes Union has demanded that the interim report of State Commission for Backward Classes should be made public.
“Chairman of the Commission, G D Sharma submitted the interm report on March 13, 2021 to Lt Governor Manoj Sinha after about four months late from its stipulated time and the same has not been made public, neither by the Commission nor by the Government,” said members of the Union, during a meeting held.
Observing that the report is related to the majority population of J&K, belonging to OBCs, SCs and STs, the Union said that the same must be put in the public domain so that proposed policy of the Govt may come in the knowledge of the stakeholders.
“The Central Govt has deliberately blocked the natural flow of justice for OBCs after abrogation of Article 370,” alleged that Union members while reiterating their appeal to Lt Governor Manoj Sinha to make the Commission’s report public at the earliest without any further delay.
The meeting, chaired by the Union President Abdul Majid Malik, was held under the direct supervision of general Secretary Prof Kali Dass. It was attended by all its executive members and State District presidents through telephonic calls, who included M R Bangotra, Comerade Balkar Singh, Jia Lal Verma, Sandokh Chand Verma, Rakesh, Bunty, Rafiq columnist, Dr Javed Teeli, Bisharat Hussein Najar, Yunis Iqbal, Abdul Kareem Hajam, Dr Asif Qadri, Muneer Ahmed Najar, Arshid Shergoneri, Sonia Verma, Vipan Kumari, M Rashid Fouji, Mohd Razaq Qureshi, Shashi Verma, Sham Lal Verma, Kewal Krishan Fotra, Surinder Kumar Chandel, Raman Chalotra and others.
