Maharashtra man’s body recovered

SRINAGAR, Apr 7: The body of a man from Maharashtra, who was missing since March 23, has been fished out from river Jehlum in Bandipora district.
A police spokesman said the body of 65-year-old Tuka Ram Gaikward son of Arjun Gaikward of Maharashtra was fished out from river Jhelum near Wasikhan Rakhi Asham, in Sumbal.
“The deceased was reported to be missing since March 24, 2014 from Shivpora in Srinagar, adding the body was shifted to Health Centre Sumbal for post mortem.
He said police has started investigation under Section 174 CrPC to ascertain cause of his death.
