Mahajan elected as CII chairman for J&K

JAMMU, Mar 19: M Anil Mahajan has been elected as chairman of Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) Jammu and Kashmir council along with other office bearers.
Others elected as office bearers along with Anil Mahajan included Asif Burza as vice chairman and Sheikh Imran as chairman CII for Kashmir zone.
Anil Mahajan is a successful entrepreneur of a reputed business family of Jammu. He belongs to prestigious KC Group of the State and is presently a partner of KC Paints Factory and chairman, KC Gurukul Public School, Udhampur. After graduating in B Com from Jammu University, he joined his family business. Mahajan carries with him rich entrepreneurial; experience in the sectors like manufacturing, food processing, tourism and education and is an avid traveler and has traveled all over the world.
Asif Burza is a young entrepreneur from Kashmir. He is a third generation entrepreneur of a reputed business family of the State and is managing director of Ahad Hotels and Resorts Private Limited. He graduated in commerce from Delhi University. Burza worked with M&M Cottage Industries, New Delhi as Executive Director from 1998 to 2003 before taking over as MD Ahad Hotels and Resorts Limited.
He aims to create employment avenues for the local population ancillary industries related to tourism.  He was CII chairman of Kashmir zone for two years.
Sheikh Imran, a young entrepreneur from the State, has been a pioneer in leading many innovative ventures in Jammu and Kashmir. He did his schooling from Good Sheppard International School, Ooty and did his further studies from Hudson Valley Community College- State University of New York. He is also owner of M/s Silk Enterprises, which deals with trading of silk, yarn and has operation in J&K, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu.
