JAMMU, Feb 2: To chalkout the Party strategy for the coming Rajya Sabha elections, national general secretary of BJP, Ram Madhav held a meeting with senior Party leaders here this evening.
Mr Madhav, who reached here in the afternoon from New Delhi held a -two hour long meeting with senior Party leaders and members of Core Group this evening to chalk out the Party strategy for the four Rajya Sabha seats going to polls on February 7.
According to Party sources, the senior party leaders who were closeted by Mr Madhav included Party State president and MP, Jugal Kishore Sharma, MLA Billawar, Dr Nirmal Singh, Party organization general secretary, Ashok Kaul and others.
The meeting in detail discussed the strategy to be evolved to ensure the victory of BJP candidates Shamsher Singh Manhas and Chander Mohan Sharma in alliance with its trusted allies, sources said, adding BJP leaders have shown their total confidence of winning both the Rajya Sabha seats.
Sources said that Party leaders also discussed the pros and cons of forming an alliance with People’s Democratic Party (PDP) without compromising on core issues.
