Lok Adalat settles 12 cases

KATHUA, May 28: A Lok Adalat was held in the District Court Complex, Kathua under the chairemanship of Vinod Chatterji Koul, Chairman, District Legal Services Authorities, Kathua, today.
The Lok Adalat comprised of two bench. The Bench number 1 presided over by Vinod Chatterji Koul, District and Sessions Judge, Kathua and assisted by Sonia Gupta, Additional District and Sessions Judge, Kathua.
The Bench number 2 was presided over by Deepak Sethi, Chief Judicial Magistrate, Kathua and assisted by Naushad Ahmed Khan, Special Mobile Magistrate, Kathua.
The Bench number 1 took MACT, Matrimonial cases and Bank cases. Four cases were decided on spot and award money to the tune of Rs 3,94,000/- was ordered to be paid to the claimants and Bench number 2 settled Civil and 8 Criminal and recovered fine of Rs 4100/-. Total 12 cases were settled in the Lok Adalat.
