JAMMU, Sept 25: A permanent Lok Adalat was held today in the District Court Complex, Janipur under the chairmanship of Chairman, District Legal Services Authority and Pr. District & Sessions Judge, Jammu Jang Bahadur Singh Jamwal.
The lone bench headed by Jang Bahudar Singh Jamwal, and assisted by S.C. Gupta, 2nd Additional District and Sessions Judge, Jammu took up a total of 76 cases out of which 14 were disposed off.
An amount of Rs. 28.06 lakh was awarded as compensation in 9 MACT cases and recovery of Rs. 25,99,859 was made in four bank cases from defaulters.
The next Lok Adalat will be held on October 5, 2012.
