REASI, Apr 25: Locals today held a strong protest demonstration at Salal and blocked Jyotipuram- Salal road at Batalkala tunnel to register their resentment against the continuous bovine smuggling in the region.
The protesters alleged that there was no decline in bovine smuggling even after assurances from Police officials. Today a lady was arrested for bovine smuggling from this route along with three bovines.
“From last two weeks , we are continuously hearing the news of bovine smuggling in Salal but still there is no action,” the protesters alleged and asked the administration to take necessary steps to control this menace.
