LJP opposes imposition of property tax in J&K

JAMMU, Feb 22: Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) today opposed Government move of imposing property tax in Jammu and Kashmir.
Addressing a press conference here today, Sanjay Saraf, National spokesperson and president of J&K unit said that people have already been suffering in J&K, first due to abrogation of Art 370 and then after breakout of COVID-19 pandemic. Several people have lost their jobs and unemployment is at its peak, he said adding, at this juncture it will not be appropriate to impose property tax on the people.
Saraf also touched several other issues like 35 % reservation for J&K in new industrial policy announced by Government of India, resolving salary related issues of daily rated workers & regularizing their jobs and permanent rehabilitation of migrant Kashmiri Pandits.
Meanwhile, Anita Chandpuri (president, J&K women wing of LJP) announced Satveer Kour as provincial president of Women Wing, Sushma Sharma and Neha Sharma as vice presidents, Archana Chouhan as general secretary, Dropadi Wazir and Balwinder Kour as State secretaries and Dimple Sharma as district president Jammu.
Other party leaders including Sanjay Raina (vice-president), Rakesh Dogra (president, youth wing) Sardari Lal (provincial vice president) and Randeep Singh (president Sports Wing) were also present in the press conference.
