JAMMU, Dec 22: All J&K Electric Department Linemen and Workers Union has demanded Rs 10 lakhs compensation for the deceased PDD employee’s family.
A meeting in this connection was held under the presidentship of Tara Chand at M&RE Sub Division here. The meeting observed two- minute silence over the death of Neeraj Kumar, Lineman who was working on need base in M&RE Division No. 3, Rehari Colony, Jammu. He was repairing transformer and met with an accident, resulting into his death.
During the meeting, the president of the Association appealed the higher authorities of the Department to investigate the matter and book the guilty persons. The Union has demanded Rs 10 lakhs compensation for the family of the deceased person.
