JAMMU, Sept 20: National Conference leader, Choudhary Liaqat today conducted a tour of Dhar Sakri and Targain area of Rajouri district and took stock of the damages caused to houses, schools, roads, crops and other properties.
During its tour, the NC leader interacted with many flood affected people and addressed various public meetings. The local people apprised the NC leader of the problems being faced by them after recent rains and floods, which damaged their houses as well as crops.
Choudhary Liaqat assured them that Omar led State Government would provide all possible help and relief to them. He also appreciated the efforts of the Army for connecting Budhal area with Kotarnak by making a bridge in a very short period.
The NC leader urged the concerned officers to assess the damage of people’s houses and other property in a genuine and honest way. He also appealed the administration to provide tents, blankets, utensils, ration and other basic things to those who have become homeless due to rains and floods.
He also aware the people about various welfare schemes and people-friendly policies of the Omar led State Government.
