JAMMU, Nov 12: National Conference Provincial President Devender Singh Rana today greeted the people on 550th Prakash Diwas of Guru Nanak Devji and opening of Kartarpur Corridor at a huge congregation at Gurdwara Chand Kaur here this afternoon.
“Let the Kartarpur corridor become the corridor of peace, the corridor of harmony, the corridor of cooperation”. Rana said and described the opening of Kartarpur corridor as dream come true, saying this will facilitate the devotees satiate their spiritual bliss.
He underscored the crucial need of promoting peace, tranquility and harmony, saying this is the essence of every religion, which has been professed by great saints and seers in their different avataars from times immemorial.
“Paths to attain the divine bliss may be different but the destination remains the same—Ik Onkar”, Rana said adding that Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s eternal message of universal brotherhood, compassion, righteousness and social justice enlightened the humanity and motivated people to work towards making the world a better place to live in. He described the occasions like Gurupurab as opportunity to introspect as to where we have erred which has led us to hate, mistrust and intolerance.
“We have to preserve the idea of inclusiveness, which is embedded in harmony, inclusiveness, peace and tranquility”, Rana said at the congregation, which witnessed unique blend of religious togetherness. He said this uniqueness is reflective of the great and glorious spirit of Indian civilization that has grown and flourished the world over for its cultural richness and spiritual awakening. He hoped that such occasions will prove to be harbinger of peace, amity and brotherhood.
