JAMMU, July 11: A meeting of the Management of Laxmi Narayan Temple Gandhi Nagar Jammu was held here today in the Mandir premises under the chairmanship of Gulchain Singh Charak, the president of the Trust in which an appeal was made to people and spiritual organizations besides business community to donate generously for the reconstruction of the infrastructure and help for the victims of the Uttarakhand disaster.
The president of the Management Trust has handed over a cheque of Rs one lakh one thousand to Deputy Commissioner, Jammu for onwards transmission to Prime Minister’s relief fund.
Meanwhile Vijay Verma of Vijay Drashti Gandhi Nagar, which was instrumental in construction of Jammu dharamshalla at Kedarnath Dham has said that no donation for the Prohits of Jammu at Kedarnath has been collected by Divya Drashti but it has asked the donors to directly deposit the donations in the accounts of Anand Kumar Tiwari and Girish Tiwari the two prohits and near about Rs 50,000 have been so far donated in the same amount while about Rs 20,000 will be donated by various donors by tomorrow.
