SAMBA, Sept 26: A female pedestrian died in a road accident in the Jakh area of Samba district this evening.
As per the reports the lady was crossing the National Highway at Jakh and a truck bearing Registration Number HP72C – 6703 hit her and the lady was seriously injured.
With the help of locals and Highway Patrol Police team she was rushed to the Emergency Hospital Vijaypur where doctors declared her as brought dead.
The deceased was identified as Kamlesh Kumari (45), wife of Suram Singh of Jougpur, Jakh Samba. In this regard Police have registered a case and seized the truck and arrested the driver.
