J&K put on wheels of development, progress by Modi Govt: Balbir

JAMMU, Sept 26: With each passing day, the Jammu and Kashmir is getting various projects from the Union Government, which indicates the concern of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, to put it on wheels of development to bring progress and prosperity.
This was stated by Balbir Ram Rattan, spokesperson, J&K, BJP, while referring to the visits of Union ministers to the UT under ‘Public Outreach Programme’ and announcements made by them for setting up of mega projects. He said that a glance at what is being decided by the Union Government for J&K will surely shock those who have been making hue and cry on the reorganisation of the erstwhile State.
Balbir said that on single day, six Union Ministers, who visited J&K and Ladakh on Saturday, announced prestigious and much awaited projects to keep pace with the growing needs in fields of connectivity through rail and air, healthcare facilities, education, employment opportunities etc.
Balbir said that while Union Minister for Civil Aviation, Jyotiraditya Raj Scindia, announced in presence of UT Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha, to establish two new airports in J&K and starting Srinagar-Sharjah flight soon, Union Minister Anurag Thakur too announced establishment of more airports and rail linkages in J&K.
Similarly, Union Minister, Dr. Jitendra Singh, on the same day, announced Cancer Institute and State of Art Super Speciality Hospital for Kathua, besides sharing his proposal for Indian Institute of Sciences for Kathua.
He added that Union Minister of State for Skill Development Entrepreneurship and Information Technology, Rajeev Chandrashekhar, announced in Budgam, Kashmir that in next some years J&K will see new circle of development prosperity as Union Government has formulated a plan to spend Rs 60,000 crore to create employment generating avenues.
Union Minister of State for External Affairs and Education, Dr. Raj Kumar Ranjan Singh’s visit to Udhampur and inaugurations of different High and Higher Secondary Schools, reflects concern of the Union Government towards better facilities in education sector, he said.
Interaction of Union Minister of State, Jal Shakti and Tribal Affairs, Bishweswar Tudu, with BDC Chairpersons, DDC members and other PRI representatives at Kishtwar, speaks of the serious concern for effective implementation of three-tier Panchayati Raj System across Jammu and Kashmir, he said.
