SAMBA, July 23: In a simple but impressive function held today at Moutlian Kalan, MLA Samba, Yash Paul Kundal, distributed 51 Kissan Credit Cards (KCC) among farmers.
Speaking on the occasion, Kundal advised the farmers to use KCC judiciously by purchasing the good quality seed, fertilizer, pesticide and other farm machinery to increase the production so as to improve their economic status.
Highlighting the benefits of KCC, Chief Agricultural Officer, Samba, AK Malhotra, said that it serves as an identity to the farmers besides providing crop insurance, accidental insurance and monetary support to them to effect purchase of quality inputs.
He also apprised the farmers about the various schemes of Central Government for uplifting the farming community.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were AEO, Samba, Rajeshwar Rana, Surinder Mishra and Sandeep Dogra.
