KU VC along with team visits Leh College

Excelsior Correspondent LEH, Aug 14:  The faculty members of Kashmir University headed by Vice-Chancellor Prof Khurshid I Andrabi on their maiden visit of Leh district, visited Eliezer Joldan Memorial Degree College, Leh today.  Addressing the students and faculty members of the EJM College Leh, Vice-Chancellor KU criticized the past political dimensions in the history of Leh College and assured that from now onwards Leh College would be as important to the University as any other constituent college of the Kashmir University.  Responding to the issues of Leh College, he assured to address all the problems like opening of examination centre/sub campus at Leh and timely conduct of annual exams and declaration of results in coming academic session. Talking about the starting of PG courses in the newly constructed University at Taru Thang Leh, he said that admission is going on these days. Speaking high about the spectacular traditional Ladakhi song and dances displayed by the students on the occasion, Vice Chancellor assured to invite the students of Leh College to Kashmir shortly.  On the occasion, magazine of the college was also released by the Vice-Chancellor and others, who included Prof M Ashraf Wani Dean Academic Affairs and Prof Musadiq A Sahaf Registrar Kashmir University.  Prof M Ashraf Wani, Dean Academic Affairs and Prof Musadiq A Sahaf, Registrar Kashmir University also spoke on the occasion and assured to address all the problems of Degree College Leh at their levels.  They also urged upon the students of Leh to opt Kashmri University for higher studies as this university is one of the best organization of the country.  Earlier, Principal of the College, Dr S K Mangotra welcomed the visiting team to Leh College and highlighted the problems of Leh College.
