Degrees of promoted teachers to be verified

JAMMU, Aug 14: Director School Education Jammu has constituted a committee for verification of degrees and qualification certificates of the teachers, who were promoted as Masters (DPC 2014) and have been awaiting orders for adjustment.
The five-member committee will conduct verification of qualification and ascertain genuineness of degrees of 1100 Masters besides their eligibility for promotion.
The Committee members include Shadi Lal Tengloo ( Field Advisor SIE Jammu), Nath Ram ( Field Advisor SIE Jammu), Baldev Singh ( Principal DSEJ), Vinod Kumar Gupta ( Principal DSEJ) and Madan Mohan Khajuria (Principal DSEJ).
All the Chief Education Officers have been directed to attend the Directorate of School Education along with original files of the concerned teachers and for the purpose, separate dates from August 19 to August 29 have been fixed for each district.
“The drawing and disbursing officers shall ensure that salary of the officials for the month of September 2015 is drawn only after the exercise of verification has been done in the respect of the concerned official,” added the order number 444-DSEJ of 2015.
Pertinent to mention that 1100 Teachers in Jammu province were promoted as Master in February 2014 and only 165 of them were adjusted after promotion. While the left out promotees have been demanding their adjustment as Master, there are allegations that a few of them had managed invalid degrees for securing promotion.
