KPs observe 33rd Balidan Divas, pay glowing tributes to martyrs

JAMMU, Sept 14: Kashmiri Pandits organised various programmes across the country to observe the 33rd Martyrs Day (Balidan Divas) today.
Panun Kashmir (PK) commemorated Martyrs’ Day , across all displaced camps in Jammu region. The programme was coordinated from Panun Kashmir (PK) headquarter and Jagati, Buta Nagar, Muthi and Purkhoo camps joined the commemoration program online. Entire commemoration programme was broadcast live to the national and global diaspora.
The event started with a message from anchor Tito Ganju who appraised about the importance of Martyrs Day and gave a detailed flow chart of entire program. The event began with a two minute silence followed by floral tributes to the martyrs.
On the occasion, P K, convener Dr Agnishekhar felicitated a genocide survivor Ramesh Marhatta who was kidnapped by terrorists and shot at in Srinagar.
Dr Agnishekhar in his address appealed the Prime Minister of India and Union Minister for Home Affairs to immediately put a stop on all such policies that contribute to Denial of Genocide of Hindus of Kashmir.
In his address Dr Ajay Chrungoo stated that the policies on the return and rehabilitation of internally displaced Hindus of Kashmir pursued by successive Governments in the erstwhile State of J&K as well as in the Centre have been the most brazen expressions of Denial of Genocide. These policies have actually been attempts to enter into a deal with the Muslim separatist fundamentalist class in Kashmir responsible for Genocide of Hindus in Kashmir.
All India Kashmiri Samaj (AIKS) also observed the Martyrs Day in memory of Pt Tika Lal Tapiloo who attained martyrdom on this day in 1989 and other martyrs who laid down their lives during the 32 year long turmoil in Kashmir. The programme was held in B K Ganjoo Park, New Delhi. On the occasion two minutes silence was also held din memory of all those who fell to the bullets of martyrs.

Panun Kashmir led by Virender Raina also held a programme today to commemorate the Martyrs Day and paid glowing tributes to Tika Lal Tapiloo and other martyrs who fell to the bullets of terrorists in Kashmir and other parts of Jammu region during last 32 years of terrorism. Virender Raina said that PK will continue the issue of ethnic cleansing and genocide of KPs in all forums. Upinder Koul, Kamal Bhagati and Ashok Chrungoo also paid tributes to martyrs on the occasion.
Kashmir Pandit Conference (KPC) led by Kundan Kashmir also held online programmes to commemorate the Martyrs Day. The KPC volunteers also wore black badges as a mark of protest against the killing of Kashmiri Pandits and security forces by the terrorists. Kashmir on the occasion reiterated the demand of separate Kashyap Bhoomi for Pandits in Valley.
Kashmir Samiti Delhi (KSD) led by Sameer Chrungoo also observed the Martyrs Day and paid glowing tributes to Tapiloo and other martyrs of community as well as security forces.
Addressing the programme Sameer Chrungoo said that the community’s struggle for fulfillment of its geo political aspirations will continue and soon community will have new Bhawan of KSD in Delhi.
Vishwa Kashmir Samaj also observed Balidan Divas today and paid glowing tributes to martyrs and security forces who laid down their lives to uphold integrity and dignity of the nation. Those who paid tributes included Pintoo Ji , M K Yogi, Bal Krishan Bhat, Ajay Bhat, R L Koul etc.
All State Kashmir Pandit Conference led by R K Wangnoo also held a programme at its Headquarters Durga Nagar where rich tributes were paid to martyrs and their sacrifices were recalled.
Those who paid tributes included Vena Gurtoo and Ravi Raina senior functionaries of the organization.
Kashmiri Khatri Hindu Maha Sabha led by Engineer Ramesh Chander also commemorated the Martyrs Day by paying rich tributes to them and recalling their sacrifices.
All India Migrant Camp Coordination Committee (AIMCCC) held a function at Jagti in which rich tributes were paid to community heros including Tika Lal Tapiloo, Prem Nath Bhat, Lassa Koul, Neel Kant Ganjoo and hundreds of other martyrs and jawans of security forces who laid down their lives for nation infighting Jehadi terrorism in Kashmir.
BJP Kashmir also held a programme led by its president Chand Ji Bhat in which glowing tributes were paid to former vice president of the party, Tika Lal Tapiloo and other martyrs including members of security forces.
To commemorate the Martyrs’ Day a programme was organised by inhabitants at Jagti township led by a senior political leader, Makhan Lal. Others who paid tributes included Priya Bhat, Chandra Dhar and Dazy Bazaz.
Jagti Tenement Committee (JTC) and Soan Kashmir Front also held a programme at Jagti to commemorate the Martyrs Day. On the occasion JTC president and its other activists paid glowing tributes to martyrs.
