REASI, July 24: With the beginning of month of “Shravan” Konsar Naag Yatra for the current year commenced today with great fervour and enthusiasm amidst the chants of Lord Vishnu and Lord Shiva and will be culminated with the return of pilgrims on 28th July.
Army has made arrangements for night stay at various points like Chasana Harshu and Konsar Naag. The yatra by road passed through Chasana, Mamankote and Lchni. The responsibility of security of the devotees was given to Rashtriya Rifle Battalion at Samote under aegis of Counter Insurgency Force(uniform). Beside Army, police was also involved in providing security of the yatra. A medical team was also provided for medical cover of the pilgrims.
The yatra was taken under the supervision of Swami Ram Sharan Dass Ji Maharaj of Lakshmi Narayan Mandir of Baradari Reasi will be the head priest who perform Chadi puja and other religious activities.
