Kidnapped minor traced out in 24 hrs, accused arrested

JAMMU, Jan 21: A kidnapped minor girl has been traced out by Bishnah police within 24 hours and arrested the accused.
As per police sources, yesterday a report was lodged by family members hailing from Dabber Harsa stating that their minor daughter (class 10th student) has been kidnapped by Neeraj Kumar alias Nirmal, son of Rajinder Kumar, a resident of Deoli.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 16/16 under Section 363 RPC was registered and manhunt was launched to trace out the kidnapped girl and arrest the accused.
A team from police station Bishnah immediately swung into action and conducted raid in various areas of Jammu and finally on specific information, the girl was rescued from Katra. The accused tried to escape, but the cops chased and nabbed him.
The girl was restored to family members after completing legal formalities.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
Police team led by SHO Bishnah police station Inspector Kulbir Singh Choudhary rescued the kidnapped minor girl and arrested the accused under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Harjeet Singh, SP Headquarters Jammu RC Kotwal and SSP Jammu Uttam Chand.
