JAMMU, Nov 17: A minor girl allegedly kidnapped by a youth from Rajouri area was recovered by police from a locality in Jammu city last night.
Official sources said that a police party from Manjakote, acting on a specific information conducted a raid at a hideout and recovered the kidnapped girl last night. The police after the medical examination of the girl, handed over her to the family. She had been kidnapped by one Kashifat Hussain, son of Mohd Sharief, resident of Niaka Panjgrain in Manjakote.
The police took action on the complaint of one Abdul Hussain, who alleged that her 17-year-old daughter was kidnapped by a youth of the same village on November 7. The police registered a case FIR No. 76/2015 and started investigation. While the girl was recovered, the accused was still absconding.
