POONCH, Apr 3: Congress worker’s meeting was organized by Shahnawaz Choudhary, State president of Youth Congress at Surankote in support of Congress-NC candidate from Jammu-Poonch Lok Sabha constituency Madan Lal Sharman in which Panchs, Sarpanchs and Congress workers from Surankote participated. Ghulam Hassan Mir, Minister for Agriculture was the chief guest.
Speaking at the occasion, Mr Mir said that there is a need to stop the communal forces. He said that the secular forces should come forward and stop those politicians who mislead the common people for the sake of votes by playing with the sentiments of the people. Mir said that Rahul Gandhi should become the Prime Minister so that the BJP candidate Modi can be stopped from ruining the nation and its secular character.
Mr Shahnawaz said that Congress is the only political party which has has fought for the rights of people from the struggle for independence and post independence period. And at present also, Rahul Gandhi has introduced the elected system in Youth Congress & NSUI thus giving the power to the youth and the students of the nation to elect their leaders in the party also.
